What Is the Supabuild Panel System?
Supabuild Panels is a monolithic reinforced concrete wall system that integrates engineered formwork and steel reinforcement with poured concrete to create a solid, permanent wall structure. Unlike conventional construction that uses timber framing with separate cladding and lining, Supabuild delivers a single integrated wall — no timber frames, no fuel for fire, no material to absorb floodwater, and no weak points for wind.
The system is not cladding and not a framing alternative. It replaces the entire wall assembly — structure, insulation positioning, and weather barrier — in one engineered solution. Panels can be stood up by two labourers without cranes.
Supabuild has been used in Australia since 2014 across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The technology is proven globally.
How It Differs from Traditional Construction
- Non-combustible materials — concrete and steel only, no timber fuel load
- Encased services — electrical and plumbing conduits are integrated before the pour
- Concrete core — a solid reinforced concrete wall, not a hollow frame with cladding
- Openings pre-formed — windows and doors are built into the panel design, not cut on site
- Integrated design — wall panels are engineered per project to match your architectural plans
NCC Approval Pathway
Supabuild proceeds through the National Construction Code via a Performance Solution on a project-by-project basis. This is one of two accepted NCC compliance pathways (the other being Deemed-to-Satisfy).
The 5-Step Approval Process
- Prepare a Performance Solution proposal — define the scope and performance requirements
- Analyse using assessment methods — engineering calculations, fire testing references, precedent projects
- Evaluate results — compare against NCC performance requirements
- Prepare a final report — document the solution for certification
- Certifier/BCA reviews and approves — your building certifier signs off
Evidence of Suitability
- Project-specific structural engineering certification
- System documentation and installation methodology
- Referenced test reports for materials and components
- Precedent use in Australian projects since 2014
Disclaimer: Supabuild Panels is not yet AS-tested as a whole system and is not yet CodeMark certified. Each project is individually engineered and certified.
Your Project Journey — 8 Steps
- Submit Your Plans — send your architectural drawings to the Supabuild team for review

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my certifier accept this system?
Each project proceeds via project-by-project engineering sign-off. Your engineer reviews our methodology, specs, and approval kit inputs, then certifies your specific project.
Will builders know how to install it?
Yes. Our system is designed for standard construction workflows and an installation manual is included for your builder. We always allocate a team member to attend the site during the pour stage to ensure a smooth process.
Is this more expensive than timber framing?
The upfront panel cost is competitive with traditional construction when you factor in speed of build, reduced labour, and zero termite/fire remediation costs over the life of the building. Many builders find the total project cost is comparable or lower.
How long does the shell install take?
A typical residential shell (walls erected, braced, and concrete poured) can be completed in under 3 weeks from slab-ready.
Is Supabuild suitable for multi-storey homes?
Yes, the system can be engineered for multi-storey construction. Specific design requirements depend on your site conditions, local regulations, and structural engineering specifications.
How long does the build stage take compared to traditional construction?
Wall stages typically complete 30–40% faster than traditional methods because openings and services rough-in are already integrated.
Is this an experimental technology?
No. The technology is widely used around the world with proven engineering principles in residential, commercial, and industrial construction. Supabuild has been used in Australia since 2014.
Are you a builder?
No, Supabuild is not a builder. We are a wall system supplier. Installation is completed by your builder or Supabuild-approved installers.
Who does the installation?
Installation is completed by trained Supabuild-approved installers at your preference, or by your builder. The system is designed to be simple enough for a small crew to erect efficiently.
Product Details — The Supabuild Panel System
As easy as Ready, Pour, Set. Engineered resilience of solid concrete walls — without the formwork chaos, the approvals nightmare, or the builder who won't touch "alternative methods."
What You Get: A Virtually Indestructible Wall System
Two fibre-cement sheets (6mm HardieFlex exterior, 4–6mm interior) with engineered spacers between them. Stand them on your slab, drop in steel reinforcement and services, and pour 20–30 MPa concrete in one go. The fibre-cement stays forever as your finished wall — inside and out. A proper reinforced concrete house. Not a foam box. Not a timber frame.
- Fill once — done
- No complex formwork on site
- No large construction crews
- Finished wall surface inside & out
Panel Specifications
- Major Panels: 2440 × 1220mm — Hand-liftable by two people
- Wall Thickness: 112mm total (~100mm concrete core)
- Wall Height: 3.05m using stacked panels
- Core Fill: 20–30 MPa structural concrete
- External Skin: 6mm HardieFlex fibre cement
- Internal Skin: 4–6mm fibre cement
Engineered Resilience
- Cyclones & Wind: Continuous concrete shear walls certified to AS 3600 and AS 1170.2 for your exact wind region.
- Bushfire: Non-combustible HardieFlex skins manufactured to AS/NZS 2908.2, compliant from BAL-LOW to BAL-FZ when detailed per AS 3959.
- Flood: Concrete and fibre-cement don't rot, warp, or harbour mould after inundation.
- Termites: Zero structural timber in your walls = zero termite risk on the envelope.
How the Build Actually Feels
- Day 1–2 — Stand & Brace: Fix base angles to your slab, stand panels along chalk lines, brace plumb with temporary props. Two people can lift standard panels.
- Day 3–4 — Steel & Services: Drop in rebar to your engineer's spacing, tie corners, run conduits. Plumber and electrician drop services in as panels go up.
- Day 5 — Training & Pour: We walk you through alignment checks, bar placement, vibration technique. Concrete is pumped and vibrated.
- Week 2 — Cure & Move On: After ~7 days, concrete has strength. Remove bracing. Start roof framing.
Approvals Certainty
We supply your engineer with a complete technical pack. Your engineer adapts proven methodology instead of designing from scratch. Your certifier sees "concrete core + non-combustible fibre-cement" — standard territory, not experimental. Less back-and-forth. Faster permit. Earlier start.
Scope Certainty — Typical Pricing
Typical 325m² four-bedroom home: ~$60,531 in panels, ~$78,827 total including concrete fill. Freight and GST quoted separately.
